“In my former life, Woodhall Spa was an area that I managed in a previous job and, even though I grew up in Lincoln and Lincolnshire, I’d never visited Woodhall Spa until I worked there in 2009. Upon my first visit I just thought, what a fantastic place - it was like stepping back in time! I felt it was so rare to find a place that was full of so many independents; independent shops, independent hotels, independent restaurants. It’s got a real charm and is just a really beautiful place. So, when the opportunity presented itself to open a shop here, I grabbed it with both hands and that is where SELF first began. I still pinch myself everyday that a SELF shop is situated on the main Broadway in Woodhall Spa, it truly is a jewel in the crown. It’s such a lovely place to work and we have our fabulous regular customers. There’s a lot of loyalty from people who live in Woodhall Spa, who use all of the shops and amenities in the quaint town. There’s a real community feel here, coupled with an influx of tourists who love to holiday here because Woodhall has so much to offer and has a real holiday feel.
