We package each item as though it is a gift, because whether you are treating a loved one or yourself we want it to feel special. Everything is hand-wrapped with care and sent with love from us here at SELF.uk. Every single purchase matters to us and we want you to know that from the box it comes in to the tissue sealed with a sticker- every detail matters. Our products are well protected and are ready to be gifted straight to the recipient! We are also very environmentally conscious, so all of our packaging is environmentally friendly and recyclable.

 

RETURNS, REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

 

ONLINE ORDERS

If you purchase an item with us online and aren’t happy with it, you have 14 working days from the date of receiving your order to pop it back to us for a full refund or an exchange. 

Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, you have the legal right to return your order within fourteen working days upon receipt of goods. However, in the interest of hygiene, we regret this does not apply to unwanted earrings. Earrings are non-returnable unless faulty.

We kindly ask that you make sure all products are returned in their original, unworn condition, with their original packaging and labels. Any items of clothing or pieces of jewellery that have become mis-shapen due to being tried on, will not be accepted. Any returns that are damaged may not be accepted and may be sent back to you, the customer.

TO SEND YOUR ONLINE ORDER BACK VIA POST

1. Please ensure you contact us before returning your item hello@self.uk.com stating your order number, name and postcode. Please also state the details of whether you would prefer a refund or whether you’d prefer to exchange for another item and what this item is.

2. Please ensure you are returning within the 14 working days time frame. Items returned after this time will not be accepted and may be sent back to you.

3. Please pop your unwanted items back into their original packaging so that the items are completely protected and send back to SELF, 19 & 19a Bailgate, Lincoln, LN1 3AN.

4. All refunds are processed via the original payment method within 30 days. Refunds vary depending on your bank but typically take up to 5 working days to show in your account. Please be aware that refunds are processed securely without storing full card details.

5. SELF is not responsible for returns costs. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the item is packaged and sent responsibly. If your item is of high value we recommend sending as recorded postage. We accept no liability for return parcels that are not received by us.

6. If you have arranged for an exchange, we will send you a confirmation of your new item being sent once we have received the initial item back in our possession. 

TO RETURN YOUR ONLINE ORDER IN-STORE

As a quick and easy way to return your item, why not visit us in-store and drop off your items or have a browse in-store to exchange your item?
1. Please package up your unworn items in the original packaging.
2. Please take the time to browse in-store to see if there is something you would like to exchange it for - our friendly team of fabulous ladies are always here to help!
3. Alternatively if you’d like a full refund on your item(s), then this will be processed using your original payment method.

LATE ONLINE RETURNS

You have 14 working days from when you receive your parcel to return your items back to us, using the method stated. If the goods are returned outside of this time frame then it will not be accepted, and will be returned back to you, the customer, unless an exchange has been discussed.

IN-STORE PURCHASES

If you purchase an item with us in-store and you aren't fully happy with it or have changed your mind, you are able to return your unworn and unused item (providing it is in its original packaging and with the tags still attachedwithin 14 days of the purchase date. Please ensure you bring your original purchase receipt with you and we will happily provide a full refund or exchange. Please note that earrings cannot be exchanged or returned due to hygiene reasons unless faulty. 

FAULTY ITEMS

On the rare occasion there is a problem with an item, please do not worry, we are here to help. Items are classified as faulty if they are received/bought damaged, or where a manufacturing fault occurs within six months of purchase. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. For example a snapped chain on a necklace or bracelet, is not a manufacturing fault. We also highly advise you take the appropriate care of cashmere blend clothing pieces or accessories. Cashmere and cashmere blend pieces are advised to be hand washed or put through on an appropriate machine washing setting. Please ensure you check the inner label beforehand. This wear and tear on the jewellery and cashmere pieces is again not a manufacturing fault.

Please send photos of the fault via email to hello@self.uk.com stating the problem and your online order details. If the item was purchased in-store then please bring your receipt with you along with the faulty item and we will be happy to advise/help.

 

DELIVERY

Our orders are posted out via Royal Mail. We have two postage options available:

1. Standard delivery (3-5 working days). This is a Second Class Signed For service. This service costs £4.95 for orders under £50 and is free for orders £50 and over.

2. Express delivery (Next day, where possible, when orders are placed before 2pm). This services costs £8.95 for all orders placed with us.

We would always advise you to allow 3-5 working days for your standard delivery order to arrive. If you need your order delivered quicker than this, please select 'Express Delivery' at checkout for the next day service.

Please note, whilst we make every effort to ensure your orders are processed in a timely manner, in accordance with the postage option you have selected, this cannot always be guaranteed due to occurrences out of our control, such as postal strikes and delays. We will keep you updated where possible if we foresee a delay in your delivery.
