Lincoln is my home town and, as a child and growing up, I spent a lot of time in the Bailgate. I went to school up there and my mum and I, every Saturday, would go up to the Bailgate for a spot of shopping and we’d always go for coffee and teacakes. It was just somewhere that I loved and, with it being my hometown, opening a boutique in Lincoln felt like a really natural progression for SELF. Bailgate was always somewhere I saw a SELF shop, with the backdrop of one of the most exquisite cathedrals (in my opinion), Lincoln castle and the other fellow independents that are up in the Bailgate area.
