THE SELF STORY
Every business starts with a dream and having spent years working for other companies in various sales & management roles, I knew starting my own business was mine. I have always been passionate about supporting and shopping independently and having spent the majority of my sales career working for independent, family run businesses it was close to my heart. Having taken a short career break to have our two wonderful children William & Florence I knew that it was my time to create the business I had always longed for.
I knew that I wanted the brand to help support and promote self care, empowerment, love and friendship through its range of clothing, homeware and independently sourced accessories & gifts, all whilst offering a modern laidback sense of style, quality, not quantity, an attention to detail in everything that we do and a positive outlook on life.
For me and the brand it is about celebrating life’s simple pleasures whether it be wearing something simple & special that lifts your mood, lighting a candle, drinking a fabulous cup of coffee or snuggling up on the sofa with a cosy blanket a good book & a sweet treat - SELF.uk was born.
I cannot emphasise enough how much thought, care and attention goes into the products sold, whether it be the own brand SELF items or indeed the independent British brands that I source to work with, you can be safe in the knowledge that the clothing and the products I stock are all ethically sourced - it was the only way that I could work - the only way I wanted to work.
